Writing a comment#

PLEASE do make use of this wonderful facility to contribute to this server. When you are logged in (see here how to log in) to write a comment is easy: you just click at the button "Comment", and on the empty page that now appears you can type whatever you want. At the end, you just click "Save"!

Of course you can make things more fancy by using !! in front of a title you might choose (to get the title in medium size red), or use a double backslash (equivalent to clicking at the paragaph symbol that you see above) or mark something and then click at B or I to have this in bold or Italics, respectively, or you can even upload a picture (see here), etc.

This particular page was commented first with a simple textual comment "This is a first comment" and then with a more sophisticated one with title and picture.

This is a first comment

This is a more sophisticated comment#

I have made sure that the top line is medium size red, that the next two words are bold and I have uploaded a picture by clicking at "Upload", choosing a picture from my harddisk, clicking twice on it, and then clicking again at "Upload".

I have reduced the size of the picture shown by replacing the 600 after width='600' with 400, and I have written in the caption "One of my (me: the left person in the picture) first climbing trips many years ago- double backslash for new line- You can click at the picture to enlarge it".

This is a third comment that I have written to show the three most usefull markups.#

One or more ! in front of the first line make that line red (big with !!!, medium with !! and normal with !).

#

The fact that this is a bit below the other text is due to the fact that I have entered three line-breaks, a line-break consisting of two back-slahses, i.e. \\

Finally, when you want to include a picture use the "Upload button", select the picture, click at "Open" and "Upload". Before you click at "Save" you might want to adjust the size of the picture. By default width='600' is chosen, but in the one I am showing below I have replaced 600 by 200. The picture enlarges to its natural size of one clicks at it. The small lettering below the picture is obtained by addign text between the two quotes that are shown after caption, if you have entered "Edit page mode".
