!!Gustav Steinmann Medal of the DGGV to Donald B. Dingwel

[Donald B. Dingwell|Member/Dingwell_Donald] (MAE), Director of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the [Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität München (LMU)|https://www.lmu.de/de/index.html] and Academic Director of the __Academia Europaea Munich Knowledge Hub__ has been awarded the Gustav Steinmann Medal of the [DGGV|https://www.dggv.de/en/startseite-english], Germany's national Geology Society. Prof. Dingwell will receive the Medal at the September meeting of the DGGV, celebrating 175 years.

Prof. Dingwell receives this honor for his contributions to natural hazard and resource research. After the equivalent honor of the Werner Medal of the German Mineralogical Community this is a special honor for the Director of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.
