This information is to be used by __members of the Academia Europaea__ for payment of:

*annual membership fee for the financial year __1 January to 31 December 2026__
*new membership establishment fee for members __elected in 2026__

__The 2026 fee structure is:__

*Members who were elected as a __Foreign__ member:
**Regarding the classification as __ORDINARY__ or __FOREIGN__ member the question of nationality and citizenship are irrelevant. At the date of election, if a candidate lives and works (principally) outside of Europe (and Israel), then they are considered as a __Foreign__ candidate. 
**If a candidate has a dual position and spends 6 months in Europe and six months outside, she/he can be classified as __Ordinary__ member.

!HOW TO PAY

__Option 1 - online via CAF Bank (Charities Aid Foundation), a secure link and provides an instant e-receipt__

__Please note:__

Our Bank has asked that anyone using the online facility __must not__ use a corporate card (for example a university or Institute card),  __unless__ it has a personal name on the card (not just the name of the institute or department).  Corporate cards may be rejected; it is therefore better to use a personal card.

*the online payment facility (the red Donate button above) is hosted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) bank. 

*this is a specialist Bank, being itself, a UK registered charity.

*the payment form is hosted on the Banks own secure server, not the Academia Europaea server, it is therefore completely safe. 

*payments are made in GB Pounds but will appear on your statement in your local currency.

*the Bank provides us with support to process your membership payment and any general donations.

*the Bank will send an e-receipt when your payment has been processed, it will be sent to the email address entered when making the transaction.

*the payment will appear on your credit or debit card statement as ‘Donate via CAF Internet’. Be assured, the payment will reach us.

We prefer online payment, see option 1 above, as it is secure and provides you with an __instant receipt__. But, if necessary, you can also pay by bank transfer in Euros, GB Pounds, or your local currency.
