!!Abdelwahid Mellouki - Biography
\\
Prof Mellouki’s undergraduate and graduate studies were conducted in the Universities of Tours, Orleans and Paris 7 (France). He then spent two years as a Research Associate at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Aeronomy Laboratory (Boulder-Colorado). His main research fields are Chemical Kinetics, Atmospheric Chemistry, Air Pollution and Climate change.\\
\\
Prof Mellouki joined CNRS in 1992, where he is currently a Research Director at the “Institut de Combustion, Aerothermique, Reactivite, et Environnement” (ICARE) in Orleans (France). He led the Atmospheric Reactivity Group from 2007 to 2022. He has been nominated as a National Distinguished Professor at Shandong University (China) and Guest Professor at the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS/RCEES-Beijing), Fudan University (Shanghai) and Mohamed 5 University (Rabat-Morocco). He has been recently nominated Full Professor at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (Morocco) where he is leading the African Research Center on Air Quality and Climate. His research over the years has focused on many aspects of atmospheric chemistry, including the studies of the atmospheric oxidation mechanisms of anthropogenic and biogenic carbon-containing species and halogen chemistry. In particular, he has conducted a large number of experimental studies on the atmospheric fate of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) substitutes, namely hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) which are considered to be important greenhouse gases (GHGs). Prof Mellouki has been involved in a number of EU Research programs and French national and bilateral projects related to atmospheric chemistry and air pollution and acted as Coordinator in some of them. Within the last ten years, he has been very active in field measurement studies in different regions of the world (Europe, Africa and Asia). He is the author or co-author of over 240 scientific publications and chapters in books related to atmospheric chemistry.\\
\\
He is currently the Editor for Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres, and acts as editorial board member for Aerosol and Air Quality Research, the Journal of Environmental Sciences and the Journal of Materials and Environmental Science. He is also a member of the IUPAC Task Group on Atmospheric Chemical Kinetic Data Evaluation since 2008.\\ \\[{ALLOW view All}][{ALLOW edit amellouki}][{ALLOW upload amellouki}][{ALLOW comment All}]
