__Personal details__

Born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1954, where he received the first degree
in economics. He received a Master degree in philosophy from the University
of Helsinki (1984) and a doctoral degree from the same university (1991)
with a thesis on game-theoretical logics under the supervision of Jaakko
Hintikka. He has two daughters, Cristina and Daniela.
