Prof. Donald Bruce Dingwell elected as Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences#
Prof. Donald Bruce Dingwell, Director of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the LMU Munich and Academic Director of the Academia Europaea Munich Knowledge Hub, has been elected as Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Dingwell joins approximately 150 scientists worldwide who have been made Foreign Members of the Academy.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences is the national academy of natural sciences of the People´s Republic of China. In its current form it was constituted on November 1, 1949 in Beijing. It consists of ca. 900 members and the membership - the status of Academician (CAS) - is the highest scientific title in China.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences is composed of 6 divisions and Prof. Dingwell joins the approximately 150 members of the division of Earth Sciences.
