Peter Trudgill#
Professor Peter Trudgill, Honorary Professor of Sociolinguistics at the University of East Anglia, Emeritus Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Fribourg and a distinguished member of the Linguistic Studies section of Academia Europaea was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Murcia University Assembly. Prof. Trudgill is only the second linguist in the past 100 years to receive the award at the University.
