Hugo Duminil-Copin - Biography#
Hugo Duminil-Copin, born August 26, 1985, obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Geneva in 2012. In 2013 he became an Assistant Professor at Geneva and accepted 2015 a Full Professorship at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHÉS) in Bures-sur-Yvette. Recently he accepted half-time appointments at IHES and University of Geneva.
Duminil-Copin has been an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2018 (Rio de Janeiro), a great honor, speaking in the joint session of Probability Theory and Mathematical Physics.
Duminil-Copin has received several prizes, most notably the Prize of the European Mathmatical Society in 2016, the New Horizons Prize in Mathematics in 2017, the Loeve Prize in 2017, and the Grand Prix Jacques Herbrand de l’Académie des Sciences in 2017.
