Francesco Lacquaniti - Curriculum Vitae#
Francesco Lacquaniti received both an M.D. (1976, summa cum laude) and a specialization in Neurology (1980, summa cum laude) from the Medical Faculty of Turin University. After a post-doc in the Department of Physiology of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, he joined the Italian National Research Council in Milan where he was Acting Director of IFCN till 1994. He then became full professor of Physiology at Cagliari University and, since 1997, he holds the same position in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is the director of the Centre of Space Bio-medicine at the same University and the director of the Department of Neuro-Motor Physiology at the Scientific Institute Santa Lucia Foundation (Rome). He authored or co-authored more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed, and co-edited 3 books. He is consultant of several major European and North-American Research Agencies.
