Current projects

Underneath the Surface of Roman Republican Towns. An AHRC-funded project (jointly with the University of Ghent) that is using high resolution Ground Penetrating Radar to survey towns in Roman Italy. http://www.classics.cam.ac.uk/Research/projects/beneath-the-surface-of-roman-republican-cities.

In the last 20 years the main projects have been: Roman Towns in the Tiber Valley (AHRB); Greek Colonization and the Archaeology of European Development (Leverhulme Trust) ; Vivere e Morire nell’Impero Romano: nuove prospettive dell’archeologia funeraria influenze culturali dal centro ala periferia (EU Cultura 2000); Portus excavations and Isola Sacra survey (AHRC) ; Beneath the Surface of Roman Republican Towns (AHRC); the Interamna Lirenas Project (various funders) and the Aldborough Rome Town Project (various funders including a philanthropic donor).
