- 1997 Honorary degree in chemical engineering from the University of Bratislava in order to mark the 60th anniversary of the birth of the degree course in technology.
- 2001 Prize in Berlin for "Scientific achievements in oxidation catalysis" by the International Committee of oxidation catalysis during the World Congress of LVO catalysis together with Robert Grasselli
