Awards:
  • European Urban Public Space Prize (2002), the FAD Prize for City and Landscape (2009), two first Prizes of the Architects Association of Aragon Region (2001 and 2005), the AZ Awards (2016 best Landscape Architecture), two times finalist of the Spanish Architecture Biennale (2005 and 2009), and one time finalist of the European Landscape Architecture Prize (Biennale 2008) and of the International Landscape Architecture Prize (Biennale 2014), of the Iber-American Architecture Biennale (2004) and of the FAD Prize (2002). Also, the Water Park has been nominated for the European Union Architecture Prize-Mies van der Rohe (2009), and Zaragoza Tramway in 2012 has been awarded as the best Urban Integration by the IAPT and as the 2012 Worldwide Project of the Year.
  • Alday is Lead Consultant for the World Bank Group, advising governments and World Bank teams as expert in riverfronts, development, urban ecology, public space and water.

Lectures:

Iñaki Alday has lectured as solo speaker (mostly) or keynote speaker (the rest) extensively in Spain, Europe, South America and United States. Iñaki Alday has also participated as international guest expert in workshops for the World Bank in Buenos Aires and Quilmes (Argentina), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Manaus and Sao Paulo (Brazil, Colombo (Sri Lanka), Kingston (Jamaica) or Washington DC (USA).
