- 1985: Enters CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) as a researcher in pure mathematics, Paris
- 1990: Humboldt Fellow in Germany
- 1997: Six months in Japan with a J.S.P.S scholarship
- 2000: Research Director at CNRS, working at Université Paris 6
- 2002: Working at DMA, École Normale Supérieure, Paris
- 2009: Research Director 1st class at CNRS
- 2012: Working at Université Paris 6, Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu

- 2000-02: Responsible for the Paris node of the European network GTEM
