Lutgarde Buydens - Publications#
Professor Buydens published 30% of her papers in the top 10% impact factor journals in the respective fields. Her publications resulted in more than 12.100 citations (Google Scholar), with 22.5% of her publications belonging to the top 10% most cited papers (InCites). Her H-index is 38 (InCites) and 51 (Google Scholar), respectively. She ranks 6th out of 380 registered chemometricians and 24th out of 1500+ registered analytical chemists (Google Scholar). Hence, Professor Buydens is part of the top 2% in her field worldwide. Considering the fact that chemometrics is a relatively small and young field of research, this is an outstanding result. Furthermore, Professor Buydens is co-author of the iconic “blue chemometrics books” (Handbook of Chemometrics and Qualimetrics, Part A and B ), which are considered to be the reference books in her field and these books received more than 3300 citations. Moreover, Professor Buydens was the highest ranked chemometrician in the Power List 2013 and 2015 of The Analytical Scientist, taking place 24 in the top 100 most influential people in analytical sciences worldwide. All the above makes it clear that Professor Buydens belongs to the absolute world-top in her field.
