Anne Kaun - Biography#
Anne Kaun is Full Professor of Media & Communication Studies Sweden and director of the Hub for Digital Welfare Research at Södertörn University, Stockholm. She is the co-author of Prison media (together with Fredrik Stiernstedt, MIT Press) and author of Crisis and Critique: A Brief History of Media Participation (ZedBooks, 2016). She has also been the co-editor of Innovative Methods in Media and Communication Studies (together with Sebastian Kubitschko, Palgrave, 2016) as well as Making time for Digital Lives (together with Christian Pentzold and Christine Lohmeier, Rowman & Littlefield, 2020). She is member of the International Communication Association where she served as chair of the Activism, Communication and Social Justice Interest Group as well as ECREA where she served as chair of the Communication and Democracy Section. In 2021, she was named Wallenberg Academy Fellow funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
