2024 Wolf Prize in Mathematics to Professor Adi Shamir#

Academia Europaea is proud to announce the award of the prestigious 2024 Wolf Prize in Mathematics to Adi Shamir MAE, member of the Informatics section since 2007.

Adi Shamir is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the Weizmann Institute of Science and receives the award "for his fundamental contributions to Mathematical Cryptography".

Prof. Shamir shares the Prize with Professor Noga Alon MAE, “for their pioneering contributions to mathematical cryptography, combinatorics, and the theory of computer science”.
