The theme of ESOF2022 will be Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies. In more than 100 sessions, groups of researchers, political leaders and societal partners will engage in discussions and debates on major issues divided in 7 tracks: Sustainable Environment, Cultural Identities and Transformation, Space for Science, Healthy Societies, Freedom and Responsibility of Science, Science and Business and Sustainable Academic Careers.

Join ESOF2022 Onsite and Online#

Like the past ESOF edition, ESOF2022 will be hybrid. You can participate onsite and online or just online. If you participate onsite in Leiden, you will have the opportunity to experience sessions, social events and the exhibition in exceptionnal venues with very long history. On the other hand, if you attend online, don't worry ! You will also have the pleasure to discover the main historical venues of Leiden in 3D with the virtual platform. Join the Plenary Session : Living in a World with Pandemics#

Participate to Plenary Session with 5 distinguished panel experts to discuss on the theme of Living in a World with Pandemics. Two years of Covid-19 pandemic raised many new questions about our preparedness for future pandemics. The debate will revolve around a variety of subjects like the failings in the multilateral health, global inequalities or the consequences of the pandemic on other health outcomes. Introducing line-up 7 Keynotes#

We our proud to announce the keynote speakers for all seven tracks of the ESOF2022 scientific programme that compromise the broader conference theme of Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies.

The seven tracks will challenge the keynote speakers (and other delegates) to address the most pressing issue of today’s world within their field of expertise and provide an interdisciplinary and multifaceted perspective that will set the tone for the following programme sessions.

15th of July, ESOF in Katowice#

While the European City of Science 2022, Leiden, is hosting the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) 2022 from July 13-16, 2022, ESOF will also have a regional site in Poland. For the first time, ESOF will take place for one day, on the 15th of July, in the city of Katowice, Poland, with more scientific sessions and events, onsite and online.

The conference will be held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The programme of the conference in Katowice includes twelve 75-minute on-site sessions, four of which will be streamed online to the virtual platform. The representatives of Polish and foreign science centres, experts representing business, cultural institutions, and the media were invited to the sessions. They will engage in discussions and debates on the same tracks as Leiden with different topics and with another point of view.
