• 1986-1991 Professor of Physiological Biochemistry in the Department of Biochemistry at Imperial College

Current projects:#

• Mechanisms on the cell surface which collect trafficking proteins such as receptors for epidermal growth factor and insulin into specialised domains which then pinch off and carry them into the cell
• Sorting mechanisms on membranes that route proteins along intracellular pathways leading to the lysosome
