Viktor Aleksandrovich Zinoviev - Curriculum Vitae#
Viktor Aleksandrovich Zinoviev was born in the Saratov Region (Russia) on 30 October, 1941. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in technical sciences from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Dolgoprudnyi in 1965 and 1970, respectively. He joined the Institute for Problems of Information Transmission, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), in 1970, first as a junior scientific researcher, becoming a senior scientific researcher in 1980. He defended the doctor of sciences dissertation in physical and mathematical sciences in 1988.
Since 1988 up to the present time he has been a leading scientific researcher with the Institute for Information Transmission Problems, within the Russian Academy of Sciences.
His editorial positions in journals include the following:
- Since 1991: Member of Editorial Board of Journal ”Designs, Codes and Cryptography”
- Since 1993: Associate Editor of Journal ”Problems of Information Transmission”-
- Since 2008: Associate Editor of Journal ”CCDS. Cryptography and Communication, Discrete Structures, Boolean Functions and Sequences”
Oranizational activities:
- From 1971 to 1984 he served in the organizing committee of the International Conference of Information Theory.
- From 1988 till present time he is one of organizer and a member of the Program Committee of the International Workshop on Algebraic and Combinatorial Coding Theory (ACCT)
Visiting positions:
He has held visiting positions at the following institutions (several times in many cases): University of Turku (Finland, 9 times), Linköping University (Sweden, 12 times), University of Puerto Rico, INRIA-Rocquencourt (France, 10 times), University of Bergen (Norway, 15 times)), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Catalonia, 12 times).
