Service
Prof. Börjars has served in many different capacities in senior administrative positions within academia, among them at the University of Manchester as: 1) Associate Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students; 2) Head of School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures; 3) Associate Dean (Undergraduate), Faculty of Humanities, 4) Undergraduate Dean, Faculty of Arts.; 5) Chair of Linguistics. She also designed and ran the New Academics Programme in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester and was an elected member of the Senate and the Board of Governors. She is currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the School of Oriental and African Studies (London).
