Helena Bilandzic - Biography#
Professor Bilandzic obtained her PhD in 2003 from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, and her Habilitation in 2009 at the University of Erfurt, both Germany. In 2010 she became professor at the Zeppelin University, and later that year took up the position as Professor and chair at the University of Augsburg. She has been visiting professor at prestigeous universities in both Germany and abroad (Washington State University and the University of Pennsylvania, USA).
Her publications cover 13 articles in international and national peer review journals, 12 books and edited volumes, 49 book chapters, 2 reports and 5 other publications (eg reviews). She is a very active attendant at national and international conferences, also as chair/vice chair for sections.
Her administrative duties have included board membership of the evaluation panel for social sciences in the German Research Foundation, as well as board member of examination committees.
She has served as vice-chair and chair for the division “Rezeptionsforschung” of the German Communication Association (DGPuK), and vice-chair and chair of the Audience and Reception Studies Section of ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association).
