Johannes Haubold - Biography#

Johannes Haubold, PhD Cantab. 1998 (supervisor Simon Goldhill), is Professor of Classics at Princeton University. Previously, he held positions in Cambridge, Durham, Leiden, the EPHE Paris and Washington DC (Harvard's Center for Hellenic Studies).

His specialty is the relationship between the cultures and languages of ancient Greece and the Near East. He is the author and co-author of four monographs (the last of which won the American Publishers Award for Professional and Scholarly Excellence), three edited volumes, and some forty articles and book chapters.
