CURRENTLY: Professor of Ecology and University Research Theme Champion, University of York, UK.

RESEARCH: Since my PhD, I have received almost continuous UKRI grant income for my research, either as PDRA (3 grants), PI (8 grants) or Co-I (9 grants), including: NERC Small, Standard/Discovery Science, Highlight/Directed programme, KE, and Urgency grants (~£7M). My research group currently comprises 4 PhD students and 4 post-doctoral researchers, working of projects examining anthropogenic climate change impacts on biodiversity and tropical rainforest restoration.

PUBLICATIONS: I have published >130 papers (https://scholar.google.co.uk/citations?user=FFM5srQAAAAJ&hl=en), with > 23,000 citations (up to March 2021; h = 62).

TEACHING: My research informs my teaching to BSc/MBiol undergraduate students, including lectures, practicals tutorials, and project work. I regularly receive letters of commendation from my Head of Department on the high quality of my teaching.

CITIZENSHIP: I am a Trustee of the SE Asia Rainforest Research Partnership (2005-; UK Charity), and Trustee and Chair of Publications Committee for the British Ecological Society (2017-), overseeing publications activity of 8 journals (published by Wiley

EQUALITY & DIVERSITY: I was Athena SWAN University Champion for Sciences (until 2020), and led the Biology Department to a Gold award - the first Biology Department in Britain to obtain a Gold award. I helped set-up the EDI committee in the British Ecological Society, and have helped develop safe working practices for female scientists carrying out fieldwork abroad.
