Murray Pittock - Selected Publications#
In the course of an impressively long list of publications, Murray Pittock has dealt with a variety of subjects in cultural and literary history, with a distinct profile in comparative studies of English, Scottish, and Irish traditions. He has written on Jacobite poetry, material culture, comparative nationalisms and the idea of sedition. He has authored many influential monographs and edited many collections in these fields. He has made major contributions to the study of Scottish literature and culture from a comparative and global perspective, his work on the reception of Robert Burns in particular bringing him into conversation with comparatists worldwide.
