Ramón Salaverría - Biography#

Ramón Salaverría (1970) is Full Professor of Journalism at University of Navarra, where he is the director of Digital Unav - Center for Internet Studies and Digital Life. His research focuses on digital journalism and disinformation.

With an extensive experience as a leader of national and international research projects, he is the principal investigator of IBERIFIER – Iberian Digital Media Observatory, funded by the European Commission. He chaired the Journalism Studies Section of ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association), as well as the Committee of Experts on Increasing Resilience of Media (MSI-RES) at the Council of Europe.

Author of over 300 scholarly publications, Salaverría is listed in the Stanford University ranking of the world's most cited researchers, in the Media and Communication field. In 2023, he got the 'Researcher of the Year Award' at the Roblón Awards.
