On the Editorial Staff of Orbis Litterarum: International Review of Literary Studies (Oxford and Copenhagen: Munksgaard Blackwell) since 1999, from 2000 in full charge as General and English Editor. On the Editorial Board of Journal of Music and Meaning (fully net-based journal: (https://www.musicandmeaning.net) since start in 2003. Guest lectures and conference-participation in Denmark and abroad. External examiner for Danish university-degree programmes in comparative literature and literary history. PhD supervision and on numerous selection and recommendation committees over the years. Active in public-library-information services, in university-extension teaching, and in in-service training. Book reviewer and freelance cultural journalist at Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten since 1987. Consultant Editor at Danmarks Nationalleksikon (The New Danish National Encyclopedia), 1992-2002. From 2005 Consultant Editor of updated Danish National Enclyclopedia electronic version.
