Axel Dreher - Biography#
Axel Dreher is Professor of International and Development Politics at Heidelberg University, Germany. He is Editor of the Review of International Organizations and chairman of the Research Group on Development Economics of the German Economic Association. He is a GLO, CESIfo and CEPR Research Fellow, AidData Faculty Associate, Associated Professor at the University of Goettingen and KOF Swiss Economic Institute, and a member of the European Development Network (EUDN). Most of his research is on political economy, economic development, and international economics.
Axel Dreher is most well-known for his interdisciplinary work on international organizations. He has published more than 100 articles, has more than 14,000 citations to his name, with an h-index of 63 and an i10-index of 102. He is one of the leading experts on the International Monetary Fund and a potential European Monetary Fund.
